Rehoboth Historical Cemetery Number 51

51-1.jpg (46286 bytes)

The James Gardiner Lot , AKA  Reynolds Cemetery, is located behind a house at 90 Hornbine Road. There are two inscribed headstones with corresponding footstones and three unmarked fieldstones within the lot.  The two headstones are listed in the table below.

The variations in the spelling of the last name reflect the spelling in other records and mark a shortening of the name during that period.

The current owners of the farm are having a stepped wall (see inset, left) built around the site and filling the spaces between the steps with blue stone. In the blue stone, they have erected monuments to loved ones who are not buried within the lot. One monument, that of Ivy Pacheco, is dedicated to the builder, of the walls. The other two deceased family members are Patrick McMahon (9/26/1977-10/6/2001?) and Nakita Dias (8/25/95 - 6/27/1999)

The images on this page were taken on July 18, 2008. The persons listed below are interred here but this list many not be complete.
